The Bible states in Romans 12:12: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Although we know this scripture very well, applying it to our lives can be a very difficult process if we are struggling with an addiction or unresolved psychological trauma. We want to do what is right but continue to find ourselves repeating the same negative patterns in our lives over and over again.
Jacob’s Well was birthed out of a vision to reach out to the lost—our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in bondages they cannot seem to break free from. We believe that Christ is our ulitimate healer. When people come in broken and lost, we help them find their hope again. Change is reached when we are able, through the renewal of our minds, to take responsibility for our struggles and allow the truth to set us free. We support our clients by teaching them how to develop a stronger walk with Christ through submitting to the Holy Spirit's guidance and allowing Him to strengthen them in their struggles. We pray with our clients.
We tear down strongholds of depression, anxiety, generational curses and trauma through various psychological techniques such as EMDR, CBT, Christ centered 12-step recovery and we teach our clients how to combat ungodly belief systems with the word of God. We show our clients the truth of God's Word and help them apply that truth to their lives.
We believe every individual has a divine purpose and our goal is to help our clients discover who they are in Christ so they may be free to fulfill the call God has for their life. Our mission is to provide additional support to church leaders by empowering these individuals and families to find true freedom and purpose through Christ-centered education and professional counseling services.
The process of breaking free can sometimes be a painstakingly long process that requires a lot of support and guidance. That is where we hope to help you by offering Christ-centered psychological guidance to those needing services beyond what many churches can provide on their own.
